Lotro was awarded the GOLDEN JOYSTICK award for 2007 PC Game of the Year. Lord of the Rings Online beat out a stellar list of nominees, like World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Im happy too because from all games released in 2007 - Lotro is definitely the best game.

Basically because : 1. It's new and fresh - not like grampy World of Warcraft. Of course take it easy :P ive had been playing WoW very long but i know very well Lotr and i think - LOTR is better and more interesting then WoW. 2. Have it's own charisma - ohh yes you can fall in love very fast :). 3. I think world is better - Tolkien's Middle-earth is far more interesting then Azeroth. Yeah i know there is lots of Warcraft's books and other stuff- but hey read Lord of the Rings Trylogy!It's a classic! 4. Players in Lotr are nicer and when you are going somewhere, everyone is very helpful - WoW its different :|. 5. You can purchase Lotr for lifetime membership > in WoW you can't! 6. Traits, skills - they are far more efficient then in Warcraft. 7. I think its - for now - alternative for anyone who is bored with WoW and want something else. It's best option! is big success - very large number of players, after playing Lotr trial purchased full version of this game. My buddy played 16 h in first day and after that around 12 per day until the end of trial, after that he run to the store and without any hesitation - bought this game. And now we are playing together, ive created new character - human captain and he is playing as a human champion. After 3 weeks of playing we are on 27 level. We just ended our adventure in Lone Lands, and we are without money ( gold is big problem in this game ). For now we are taking a break - my eyes are burning and i need some time off...

On 16 august, is added another class of Hunter - this new class have interesting new skills like tracking, his favorite weapon is bow or crossbow and is master of living in the wild. With him party can travel fast and easy. He can also more efficient, use lots of items like oil or trap. He have also nice ability to learn and gather knowledge about areas in Middle - earth. Another class is Capitan this class is typical warrior - like. His abilitys are focused on hand to hand combat and helping other party members. If you want more details go to official site. On screen is new Hunter class - this one is elf but why can play any other class.

this week was full of updates, almost every day there was some upgrade of Lotr. After adding some new mobs, updating some items, adding new and that kind of things - BOROMIR was added..Son of Denethor - Steward of Gondor and brother of Faramir, Boromir is one of Fellowship of the Ring, he joined as a representative of Gondor. The Isildurs Bane - The One Ring, is tempting him all the time and after corupting Boromir's heart he wants to take this ring from Frodo - after that Frodo realized that he cant travel with others and wants to run away. Fellowship was broken.... Boromir - the brave general - capitain of Gondor is killed by orcs after event with Frodo. He wanted to take this ring to protect his poeple - he dont realized that, after using One Ring - the great evil would be realised..
